A cinema, movie theatre, or movie house, alsocalled a movie house, is a structure which contains several auditorias forshowing motion pictures to the public for amusement. Most, if not all, theatresare privately owned operations, catering mainly to the public who come to bybuying a ticket for a show. Some have screens inside of them and these arereferred to as screening rooms. Some screens are linked together with anattached stage which contains lights for lighting the stages on the other sidesof the screen. Other stages may be set aside entirely for the exclusive use ofthe movie maker or director.
